Michelle Gomez found her love for dance when she was 5 yrs at an International Dance Festival in Mountain View, California. Her parents encouraged dance through family activities then later; where she was trained by family members in learning choreography off music videos, music sessions with her dad and uncle who were DJ’s, and through after school classes like Hawaii Hula dancing. It wasn’t until she moved to Round Rock, Texas at the age of 11, is when she joined dance classes after-school program at Westwood High School. She was behind in terminology and technique but made it up for in musicality and passion. Let’s just say, she bounced back! Michelle went to McNeil High School and joined the McNeil Majestics then spent her senior year as Hip Hop Club Captain. After high school, Michelle joined Austin City Showgirls, a professional dance company in the Austin Area, and landed commercials, latin must awards, and other back up dancing experiences. Michelle went back to college to receive her B.A. in Dance and Theatre from Texas Tech University with a double minor in French and Media Strategies. During her college time, she experienced being the president of the Texas Tech Hip Hop team, founder of a competitive hip hop crew, lived in France to finish her minor along with an internship at Juste Debut Dance School and apprenticeship at Flatlands Dance Theatre. Currently, she is an award winning choreographer in Jazz, Hip hop and Contemporary and led competition teams to successful seasons. Michelle also served as a member of Bomb Squad professional dance company Board of Directors for 2 years. Her story telling passions have led her into acting, where Michelle has worked on evolving her story telling skills. She continues to advance her knowledge in dance, acting, leadership and more. Her dance resume includes music videos, back up dancing, opening acts, choreography for competitions and benefit concerts. She has worked on/with Premios Tejas Latin Music Awards, MTV Woodie Awards, Tory Lanez, KCAMP, Gloria Trevi, Alesia Lani, Blizzard Entertainment and many more. Michelle has worked as a professional dancer for 10 years. Her styles include hip hop, jazz, contemporary, stiletto/heels and modern.
