Dancers Workshop

Ovation
Ballet Company

Train. Perform. Tradition.

Dancers Workshop's resident youth ballet company — bringing generations of dancers together for the magic, artistry and tradition of The Nutcracker.

More Than a Nutcracker Cast

Ovation Ballet Company gives dancers the opportunity to take their ballet training beyond the classroom and become part of a full theatrical production.

Company members rehearse together, learn featured roles and ensemble choreography, develop stage presence and experience the responsibility that comes with being part of a cast.

The result is more than a performance. It is a season built around artistry, confidence, friendship, tradition and the excitement of sharing the stage.

Why Ovation?

Artistry

Dancers learn to use technique, musicality and expression to create characters, tell a story and bring classical ballet to life.

Tradition

The Nutcracker becomes something dancers return to year after year — growing into new roles while becoming part of a shared holiday tradition.

●●●

Company

Every dancer contributes to the production. Ovation builds responsibility, connection and friendships across ages and levels.

Stage Experience

Rehearsing and performing a full ballet gives dancers meaningful experience with costumes, spacing, entrances, exits and theatrical performance.

Our Approach to Ballet Performance
“The performance is the celebration. The growth happens in every rehearsal that leads to it.”

Ovation gives dancers a reason to put their training into action. Technique becomes choreography, choreography becomes storytelling, and individual dancers learn how their work contributes to something larger than themselves.

We want dancers to leave the season stronger, more confident and proud of the role they played in creating a beautiful production together.

A Real Company Experience Built for Young Dancers

Ovation is designed to give students a meaningful ballet company experience while continuing their regular training at Dancers Workshop.

Dancers are cast in roles that fit their age, training and current development. As they grow, returning company members have the opportunity to take on new challenges, expanded choreography and greater responsibility.

From corps work and character roles to advanced featured parts, every role is an important part of telling the story of The Nutcracker.
